Operations Manager Coventry £65,000 - £70,000 Flexi hours Manufacturing Thriving, well established organisation with outstanding prospects on offer A driven, focused passionate Senior management team The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all operational activities within a batch manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The role has overall accountability for Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety functions, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, compliance, and team performance. You may be an ambitious Production Manager, who is hungry to make that next step up in your career, or, an experience Operations Manager, who is looking for a more stable, dynamic role Commutable from Coventry, Hinckley, Solihull, Coleshill, Atherstone, Lutterworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Lichfield, Kenilworth, Tamworth, Daventry and Henle-in-Arden Duties * Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved. * Develop and implement production plans to optimise plant efficiency and resource utilisation. * Monitor operational KPIs including OEE, downtime, waste, yield, and labour productivity. * Ensure batch records and production documentation are completed accurately and on time. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce costs, and minimise waste. * Manage preventive and reactive maintenance programmes across all plant and equipment. * Ensure equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance. * Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimise disruption to production activities. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory and safety requirements. * Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with company quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements. * Work closely with Quality teams to investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective actions. * Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively. * Take full responsibility for site Health & Safety performance and compliance. * Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements. * Lead risk assessments, accident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions. * Lead, coach, and develop Production, Maintenance, and operational support teams. * Manage operational budgets and control departmental expenditure. * Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality. * Support strategic planning and operational improvement projects. Requirements * Experience in an Operations Management role within a manufacturing environment. * Strong understanding of Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety management. * Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams. * Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. * Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational performance management. * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Desirable for you to hold IOSHH, though not essential. * Engineering or Manufacturing qualification.
