gap personnel are recruiting for a Van Driver (3.5t) to join a dedicated service team in Exeter, Devon. This is a hands-on, rewarding role that makes a real difference to people's lives by providing essential healthcare equipment to support independent living.
You'll be responsible for the delivery, installation, collection, servicing, and repair of community equipment in people's homes, care homes, schools, and hospitals across Devon. Equipment ranges from walking frames and crutches to hoists, beds, and pressure care products. You will also carry out minor home adaptations such as installing handrails and grab rails.
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but full training will be provided
Full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years, no more than 6 points)
Ability to load and unload goods – some items may be heavy
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic DIY skills (advantageous for home adaptations)
Previous van driving experience beneficial
Flexibility to be part of a same day and out-of-hours rota, including xwzovoh some weekend cover
