Salary: £55,000-£65,000
Type: FTC 12 months (possibility to extend)
We are working with a successful organisation to recruit a PMO Manager for a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMO Manager or project professional to take ownership of portfolio governance and help strengthen the way business change is delivered.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the PMO Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Operations and IT, providing structure, visibility and delivery discipline across a varied change portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
As PMO Manager, you will:
Develop and embed effective PMO governance, processes and reporting.
Coordinate the organisation's change portfolio, supporting prioritisation and resource planning.
Work with project sponsors and workstream leads to establish plans, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
Produce clear management and steering group reports, highlighting progress, risks and decisions required.
Manage RAID processes and provide visibility of key project risks, issues and dependencies.
Support technology-enabled change and coordinate activity with IT and third-party providers.
Help develop business cases, track benefits and ensure projects deliver their intended outcomes.
Promote practical and proportionate project management standards across the business.
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, processes and organisational capability.About You
We're looking for an experienced PMO Manager, Project Manager, Programme Manager or Portfolio professional with a strong track record of working across complex, cross-functional change.
The successful PMO Manager will bring:
Experience establishing or improving PMO governance and delivery processes.
Strong project, programme or portfolio management experience.
Experience with both agile and traditional delivery methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including confidence working with senior leaders.
Strong understanding of project reporting, RAID, dependencies, business cases and benefits tracking.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a changing environment.Experience within distribution, construction, building products or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
