The Impact You'll Make

As a Field Applications Specialist, you’ll be the trusted technical bridge between our innovative microbiology solutions and the scientists who use them. Your expertise will help clinical and industrial labs adopt new technologies with confidence, optimise workflows, and solve complex microbiological challenges. What You'll Do

  • Deliver engaging on-site and virtual product demonstrations for clinical and industrial microbiology systems, from traditional culture-based methods to advanced molecular platforms.
  • Provide expert installation, configuration, and validation support for new instruments and software.
  • Train laboratory staff on best practices, troubleshooting, and workflow optimisation to ensure maximum system performance.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and tailor solutions that meet regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Offer post-installation technical support, including method development and application troubleshooting.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of microbiology trends, regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, CLSI), and emerging technologies.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, or a related life sciences field (MSc or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in clinical diagnostics - microbiology, haematology, immunoassay (e.g., NHS or private diagnostic labs) and/or industrial microbiology (e.g., pharmaceutical, food, or environmental testing).
  • An understanding of microbiological techniques, including culture, identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex science into practical, actionable guidance.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role, managing multiple customer sites and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your territory (and occasionally internationally).

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Work with a portfolio of innovative solutions that make a real-world difference.
  • Competitive salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Collaborative, science-driven culture where your expertise is valued and your ideas shape the future.
  • Opportunities to work across both clinical and industrial sectors, broadening your impact and expertise.
