Hygiene Team Leader - Night Shift Location: Outskirts of Colchester Pay: £16.15 per hour Hours: 6:00pm - 3:00am | 4 on / 4 off shift pattern Contract: Temporary to Permanent Prime Appointments are currently recruiting for an experienced Hygiene Team Leader to join a busy food production company based on the outskirts of Colchester. Due to the location, own transport is essential. This is a hands-on role where you will be leading a small hygiene team on shift, ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard while maintaining food safety and hygiene compliance across the factory. Duties of the Hygiene Team Leader will include: Leading and supporting a small team of hygiene operatives during shift Ensuring all cleaning schedules and hygiene tasks are completed correctly Carrying out deep cleaning of machinery and production areas Dismantling equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitation Monitoring hygiene standards across the site and maintaining compliance Completing hygiene records, paperwork and sign-off sheets accurately Ensuring safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals at all times Working closely with management to maintain high factory standards Supporting with staff cover and helping organise workloads across the teamThe ideal Hygiene Team Leader candidate: Previous experience within hygiene or food manufacturing and production cleaning Experience leading or supervising a small team Good understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures Reliable, hardworking and able to lead by example Good attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment Own transport due to rural locationBenefits: Holiday pay and pension scheme Full training provided Long-term opportunity with permanent potential Opportunity to progress within the businessINDIJ
