Job Title: Geography Teacher Location: Barnsley Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you a passionate Geography Teacher ready to spark curiosity about the world and inspire the next generation of global thinkers? As a Geography Teacher, you will bring the subject to life through engaging lessons that explore physical landscapes, human geography, and global issues. Geography Teacher Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, preparing students for assessments and examinations Develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography concepts Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour Support students’ academic progress and wider personal development Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives Requirements of a Geography Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Geography or a related subject Experience teaching Geography in a school setting is desirable Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to inspire and engage learners of all abilities A proactive and professional approach to teaching An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
