About the Role: The Science Teacher will oversee the Science curriculum, ensuring it remains engaging, well-structured and reflective of current scientific understanding.

You will work closely with colleagues to support high-quality teaching, maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

This role suits a teacher who is organised, collaborative and eager to shape Science provision in a school that values creativity, warmth and academic rigour.

The candidate must be proactive, motivated and adaptable, with the ability to cope with a busy timetable.

Responsibilities: Review and update the Science curriculum and policy annually (EYFS, KS1, Year 3) Monitor discrete and cross-curricular Science teaching Ensure planning supports EAL, SEN and enrichment pupils Track pupil progress and adjust curriculum provision as needed Stay up to date with developments in Science education Attend relevant CPD and training Maintain and develop Science resources and equipment Take stock and place orders when required Ensure the Science Room is tidy, organised and clearly labelled Use resources efficiently and effectively Kindly refer to Job description for more details Person Specification: Skills and Attributes: We are looking for a teacher who is: Experienced in teaching science (2 years experience) Passionate about Science and able to inspire curiosity in young children Knowledgeable about primary Science pedagogy and curriculum design Warm, calm and confident in supporting colleagues Highly organised with excellent attention to detail A strong communicator with a collaborative approach Professional, reliable and aligned with Merlin School's values Committed to safeguarding and child welfare Safeguarding Merlin School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
