Site Setting Out Engineer

Job Title: Site Setting Out Engineer Salary: Competitive salary/rate dependent on experience Location: Staffordshire Type: Contract | Site Based About the Role: Our client is looking to strengthen their Construction team with the appointment of a Site Setting Out Engineer to support works on a major water sector project based in Staffordshire. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate setting out and quality control services to ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications. About the Client: Our client is a leading design and build provider operating within the UK water sector, delivering major infrastructure projects across long-term framework agreements. Key Responsibilities: Carry out all works in accordance with CDM Regulations and company safe working practices Undertake accurate setting out of works on site Check site works to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings Agree site measurements and maintain records alongside client representatives Maintain drawing files, registers and site filing systems Liaise with the design team to ensure the latest revisions and information are used Take off quantities from drawings for measurement and procurement purposes Assist in the preparation of construction completion documentation Ensure works are completed to a high standard in line with specifications and industry best practice Maintain all required quality records Promote and lead positive safety behaviours on site at all times What Our Client is Looking For: Essential: BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction or similar Experience using levelling and surveying equipment including total stations, GPS, robotics and automatic levels Proficient in AutoCAD Desirable: First Aid at Work qualification SSSTS CSCS Supervisor Card EUSR SHEA Water What Our Client Offers: Competitive salary/package Hybrid working where project requirements allow Car or car allowance dependent on role requirements 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Option to purchase additional annual leave Pension contribution scheme Life assurance Health insurance Private medical insurance Additional benefits including cycle to work scheme, retail discounts and savings hub Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold relevant construction and site certification where required.
