Junior / Assistant Category Manager - HVAC & Renewables

Role: Junior / Assistant Category Manager Sector: HVAC & Renewables Location: West Midlands (initially on-site but then with hybrid option) Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum, Mon - Fri Only! This is a rare opportunity for somebody with the right experience to progress into a Category Management role which is an enviable position to have within the construction supply sector. So this is a role which will involve you being trained in the art of buying / procurement, learning how to build successful relationships with suppliers and also analysing trends within the market to make sure the timing and quantity of purchasing is correct for current market conditions. Whilst this is a great opportunity for someone less experienced. You must have knowledge of air conditioning products and ideally renewables too. You may be in a trade counter or a sales role within the industry but you must have knowledge of those products. Buying experience would be great but this is not essential at this stage. Our client is a leading distributor of Plumbing & Heating products, air conditioning equipment, ventilation products and renewables. They supply into plumbers / builders merchants and the wider construction sector. A business with a National Network throughout the UK and National coverage. You must be able to communicate very well, have great attention to detail, be a team player and most of all, show a real willingness to learn and a desire to progress. Both the markets for air conditioning products and renewables are growing so this is a great time to be involved with this sector but as already stated, you must have current experience of these products.
