Role Title: Platform Engineer

Location: Northampton/Hybrid-2/3 days

Duration: 31/05/2027

Rate:402GBP/Day(Inside IR35)

Role Description:

We require individuals with strong hands-on experience in API development and cloud-native solutions, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidates should have proven experience in:

• AWS Lambda

o Building serverless functions to process inbound and outbound data files

o Event-driven processing and integration with messaging platforms

o Consuming and processing JetStream events

• Amazon S3

o File ingestion and event-based architectures

o Triggering Lambda functions from file arrival events

o Routing, transformation, and storage of output files

• API / Service Development

o Designing and building RESTful APIs and service endpoints

o Developing integrations to retrieve and update data across platforms

o Experience with enterprise integration patterns and secure service design

• NATS JetStream

o Designing and implementing streams and event-driven messaging solutions

o Building event publishing and consumption patterns

o Integrating event streams with downstream AWS services and Lambda functions

• DynamoDB

o Data modelling and table design

o Implementing scalable persistence layers for transactional and reference data

o Performance optimization and access pattern design

Preferred Experience

• Event-driven architecture and microservices

• AWS cloud-native development

• Payments, merchant acquiring, chargebacks, or dispute management domains

• CI/CD and DevOps practices
