Earnings: Approximately £45,000 per year - self employed basis

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Skilled Carpenter to join our growing team, specialising in fire door maintenance, remedial works, and fire door installations across London, with the majority of our work based in Central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated carpenter who takes pride in producing high-quality work, understands the importance of fire safety compliance, and is looking for consistent, full-time work with an established company.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door installations to a high standard.
• Complete fire door maintenance, repairs, and remedial works.
• Ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Understand and work in accordance with BM TRADA fire door installation and maintenance requirements.
• Accurately identify defects and carry out compliant repairs where required.
• Complete job documentation and communicate effectively with the office team.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when working on client sites.
• Work independently while also contributing as part of a wider team.

Essential Requirements

• Proven carpentry experience, ideally with a strong background in fire doors.
• Solid understanding of BM TRADA scheme requirements and fire door compliance standards.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing fire doors.
• Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Own a full set of professional carpentry tools.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
