About the Role:
Were looking for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, forward-thinking manufacturing site in the L34 area.
This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the smooth operation of high-speed production lines. Youll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with schedules and quality standards.
Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising production downtime.
Troubleshoot electrical, and pneumatic faults on a range of production machinery.
Record all maintenance activities accurately using job sheets or CMMS where applicable.
Follow health & safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out, permit-to-work, and PPE use.
Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
Escalate unresolved faults or recurring issues to the Lead Engineer
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tools and spare parts areas.
Assist with equipment installations, changeovers, and small engineering projects when required.
Participate in shift handovers and communicate clearly with incoming/outgoing team members. xwzovoh
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, or inefficiency.
About You:
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
Proven experience in both, mainly electrical and mechanical maintenance
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexible approach to working shifts and overtime during busy periods
Hours and rates
Monday to Friday
Rotating 2 weeks of 6am - 2pm and 1 week of 2pm - 10pm
Rate 42k salary
