Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Support Worker Locations: Covering Launceston, Bodmin & Liskeard Salary: £15.34 per hour + Holiday pay = £17.19 Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Temporary – 2 months Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with approximately one weekend in six Start: ASAP We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join a supported housing service working with people fleeing domestic abuse who may have complex support needs. This is a community-based role, visiting supported living properties across Launceston, Bodmin and Liskeard. You will manage an allocated caseload, plan your own diary and provide person-centred support to help residents access services, maintain their accommodation and move towards greater independence. Key responsibilities Manage an allocated caseload and plan your own diary. Visit residents across supported housing properties. Complete risk assessments and regularly review support needs. Develop and review individual support plans. Provide tenancy sustainment and housing-related support. Support residents with move-on planning and preparation for independent living. Provide practical and emotional support. Support residents to access relevant community services. Complete welfare checks and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Maintain accurate case notes, records and support documentation. Work collaboratively with other professionals and external agencies. Occasional home working for administration and case management. About you You will ideally have experience in supported housing, homelessness, domestic abuse, community work, mental health or social care. You must have: Previous Support Worker experience. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
