Do you enjoy working across a variety of industrial environments, solving technical problems, and helping clients maintain safe and compliant operations?We're looking for an Inspection Engineer to join our growing Industrial Services team. In this field-based role, you'll carry out inspections of pressure equipment and associated systems across a diverse range of customer sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practice.What You'll Be DoingInspecting pressure equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, safety devices, and related assets.Assessing equipment condition and producing clear technical reports and recommendations.Supporting customers with compliance, safety, and integrity requirements.Working independently across customer sites while maintaining the highest safety standards.Providing technical guidance to colleagues and customers when required.QualificationsWho We're Looking ForWe're keen to hear from candidates with experience in:Pressure equipment inspection or engineeringMechanical, maintenance, reliability, integrity, or process engineeringPressure vessels, boilers, steam systems, piping, or safety-critical equipmentPetrochemical, oil & gas, chemicals, manufacturing, power generation, utilities, or other industrial environmentsEngineering surveying, NDT, asset integrity, statutory inspections, or compliance-focused rolesYou may currently be working as an:Inspection Engineer, Engineering Surveyor, Mechanical Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Integrity Engineer, Plant Inspector, Maintenance Engineer, NDT Inspector, Pressure Systems Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Technical Inspector.What You'll NeedEngineering apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, HND, Engineering Technician qualification, or equivalent industry experience.Understanding of pressure equipment, engineering standards, and industrial safety requirements.Strong report writing and problem-solving skills.Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.Additional InformationAt SGS, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
