Children’s Residential Support Worker

Location: Tring, HP23

Pay Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour

Job Type: Temporary / Flexible Shifts

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Tring. You will be supporting children and young people in a residential care setting, helping them build stability, independence, and positive outcomes for the future.

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be part of a supportive team that provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or instability in their early lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily routines and life skills
• Build positive, trusting relationships
• Promote independence, education, and personal development
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people in your care
• Follow care plans and contribute to reviews and assessments
• Support with behaviour management using positive and trauma-informed approaches
• Maintain accurate daily records and reports
• Work as part of a team to ensure a consistent and safe environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient, and resilient
• Passionate about supporting xwzovoh children and young people
• Able to build strong, positive relationships
• Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging behaviour
• A good team player with strong communication skills

Essential (or desirable if preferred):

• Experience in residential childcare, youth work, or support work
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards it)
