I'm working on behalf of a specialist MGA looking to appoint a Class Underwriter to help build and develop its Surety portfolio.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surety underwriter to take ownership of a growing book, play a key role in shaping the portfolio, and contribute to the wider growth strategy of the business. It's an ideal move for someone who enjoys autonomy and wants to make a genuine impact.Key responsibilities:Develop and grow the Surety portfolio.
Build and strengthen broker relationships across the market.
Identify and secure new business opportunities.
Underwrite profitable risks within delegated authority.
Support the ongoing development and diversification of the portfolio.
Requirements:5+ years' underwriting experience within Surety or a related class.
Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills.
Established broker relationships and strong market presence.
Commercial mindset with a track record of profitable underwriting.
