Pressure Tester

Location: Billingham Salary: £14.22 per hour Hours: 8am to 4pm We are currently recruiting for a Hydrostatic Pressure Test Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. The Role As a Hydrostatic Pressure Test Operator, you will be responsible for pressure testing pipe assemblies to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures. Key Responsibilities * Load assemblies into the hydrostatic test bay using overhead cranes. * Select, fit, and securely fasten the correct test bungs ("top hats") to pipework. * Fill pipework with water and carry out hydrostatic pressure testing. * Monitor pressure levels throughout the testing process. * Record test results, data, and pressure graphs accurately. * Identify, mark, and report any defects to the inspection team. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. * Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times. What We're Looking For * Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment. * Experience using overhead cranes is highly desirable. * Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. * Good numeracy skills with the ability to accurately record test data. * Ability to maintain concentration during repetitive tasks while producing consistently high-quality work. * Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your workload. * Strong awareness of health and safety procedures. * Ability to remain calm and react appropriately in the event of any safety concerns.
