Center for the Needy and Vulnerable (CEFONEV Cameroon) is a registered humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable women, girls, children, internally displaced persons, refugees, and underserved communities across Cameroon. Founded in 2017, CEFONEV advances its mission through quality education, humanitarian relief, women and youth empowerment, health initiatives, skills development, and community-based programs designed to create greater social and economic opportunity.

About the Role: Member of the Board of Advisors

CEFONEV Cameroon is seeking experienced, mission-driven professionals to join its Board of Advisors. Advisory Board Members will provide strategic guidance, professional expertise, and connections that can help CEFONEV strengthen its programs, partnerships, fundraising efforts, organizational capacity, and long-term impact.

This is an opportunity for accomplished leaders in healthcare, nonprofit leadership, humanitarian work, education, philanthropy, international development, business, finance, fundraising, or related fields to contribute their expertise to an organization serving vulnerable communities in Cameroon.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic advice to CEFONEV leadership on organizational growth, partnerships, programs, and long-term sustainability.

* Support the development of relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, NGOs, healthcare organizations, and other potential partners.

* Offer subject-matter expertise in areas such as healthcare, education, humanitarian relief, nonprofit strategy, fundraising, finance, communications, or international development.

* Serve as an ambassador for CEFONEV’s mission and help expand awareness of the organization’s work and impact.

* Participate in periodic advisory discussions and provide thoughtful guidance on major organizational opportunities and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

* Senior-level experience in healthcare, nonprofit leadership, global development, humanitarian services, education, philanthropy, fundraising, business, finance, government, or a related field.

* Experience serving on a nonprofit board, advisory board, executive leadership team, or similar strategic capacity is preferred.

* Strong professional network and an interest in helping develop partnerships, funding opportunities, or institutional relationships.

* Familiarity with Africa, Cameroon, emerging markets, humanitarian programs, or international development is a plus.

* Genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable women, children, displaced populations, and underserved communities.

Compensation & Benefits

This is expected to be a volunteer, unpaid advisory position.

Advisors will have the opportunity to contribute their expertise to a meaningful humanitarian mission, expand their involvement in international social-impact work, collaborate with nonprofit and community leaders, and help shape initiatives serving vulnerable populations in Cameroon.
