Are you passionate about supporting learners, with experience of working with young people?

About the Role

We're recruiting a Personal Development Tutor to join a further education provider in the South West. You'll work closely with learners to support their progress, wellbeing and next steps, helping them get the most from their time in education.

No formal teaching qualification is required — a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners matters more.

Your responsibilities will include:

Holding one-to-one meetings with learners to discuss progress plans and develop targets.

Delivering the personal development programme.

Providing pastoral support to learners.

Monitoring and actioning issues with timekeeping, attendance and behaviour.

Supporting learners with their next steps, including UCAS applications, apprenticeships, further study and work.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Experience of working with young adults

Experience of delivering to classes eg as a Cover Supervisor

One-to-one tutorial or pastoral experience

An Enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one
