About the role
We are seeking experienced EU-qualified lawyers to support a global technology platform on a specialist regulatory compliance project focused on cross-border law enforcement requests for electronic data.
This is an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge area of digital regulation, advising on the implementation and operational management of the EU's E-Evidence framework. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional legal, privacy, and compliance teams, providing practical legal advice in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise on matters relating to the EU E-Evidence Regulation and associated cross-border law enforcement requests.
- Review and assess requests from law enforcement and judicial authorities for electronic data.
- Provide legal guidance on obligations relating to disclosure, preservation, and handling of electronic evidence.
- Ensure compliance with applicable EU privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR.
- Support internal stakeholders on regulatory risk and legal compliance issues.
- Work within internal legal platforms and processes to manage requests within strict statutory deadlines.
- Collaborate with legal, privacy, trust & safety, and compliance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer licensed to practise in an EU jurisdiction.
- Approximately 6+ years' post-qualification experience.
- Significant experience in one or more of the following:
- Privacy and data protection law
- Law enforcement response
- Regulatory investigations
- Digital regulation or technology regulation
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and wider EU privacy legislation.
- Experience advising technology, digital platform, telecommunications, or online services businesses is highly desirable.
- Ability to assess complex legal issues quickly and provide pragmatic, commercial advice.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working under tight statutory deadlines and managing time-sensitive matters.
Working Pattern
- Availability to work Asia-Pacific business hours is essential (2 am - 10 am UK time).
- The role may require occasional weekend and public holiday coverage to support urgent law enforcement requests.
- The engagement is expected to be full-time, with an immediate start.
Desirable Experience
- Experience handling government or law enforcement requests for user data.
- Knowledge of cross-border electronic evidence frameworks.
