Job ID: 7572Salary: 45,000 to 55,000Location: londonContact: JayPhone: 07833 266 563We have an exciting opportunity to work on a Large Major Civil Engineering project for a Tier 1 Contractor leading the 1.9m project. This Tier 1 contractor has been appointed to the major civil engineering project on a Joint Venture basis. The project is well under way and they now have a need to recruit for  a Health & Safety Advisor due to the increased volume of workThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with large civils schemes, major projects background, either within heavy civils, tunneling, earthworks, highways or rail infrastructure.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Contribute to a culture of “Everyone Home Safe and Healthy every day” Support and provide information to site teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the constructions plans Follow up on any required outcomes from inspections that have been carried out on HMJV sitesHelp develop and implement Health, Safety and Wellbeing campaigns and improvements plans in agreement with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager Support investigations of close call, near miss and other incidents on project sites Assist the Project team by identifying training needs Assist in producing Health and Safety plans, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance Assist in obtaining any consents/permits or exemptions that are requiredEnsure control and storage of Health and Safety and associated documentationMaintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Legislation, HMJV procedures and Contract Requirements Provide reports, presentations and information as directed by the Health, Safety and Wellbeing ManagerAssist the Project team with development of plans and process to support delivery of work Assist the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager in the development of site/office inductions Ensure any issues are managed and escalated to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager where necessary Offer guidance, direction and instruction to colleagues as required Disseminate information issued by HMJV to relevant employeesKnowledge, Skills & Experience:Sound knowledge of Tunnel Construction methodsRelevant qualification in Health and Safety or previous experience in a similar roleProblem solving and managing tight deadlinesPrioritisation of own workload in a busy office environmentMS Package knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point)This is an immediate and vacant position , interviews will be taking place within the next weekTo be considered fir the above role please submit your CV or contact Jay 07833 266 563 to discuss this or similar positions
