Lab Manager

The company are an established and leading manufacturer of precision components and assemblies to the aerospace industry. Pertemps are working on their behalf to recruit a Laboratory Manager for their operations in Redditch. Salary - £42,000 to £52,000 per annum. The role is days (Monday to Friday). Main Responsibilities Responsible for the scheduling and testing or work in progress. Training, certification and management of lab technicians. Maintaining calibration of the test equipment and ensuring NADCAP MTL requirements are adhered to. Liaise with quality, logistics, manufacturing and engineering teams. Skills and experience required Previous lab experience. Experience in managing a team. Experience in mechanical testing. Able to work to very tight tolerances. Knowledge of NADCAP Qualification in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science (Advantageous not essential) Able to interpret industry standards for test requirements.
