Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire
Salary: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications) PLUS £1500 Welcome bonus *
Annual Salary: £26,769.60 - £29,182.40 per year for a 40 hour week
Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24hrs per week)
Training: Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care
We are currently seeking both qualified and unqualified Young Adult Support Workers to join an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities based in Meldreth, Hertfordshire.
The role:
Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.
Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop
Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible
Experience /Qualifications:
If you do not already hold a qualification, willingness to work towards achieving Level 3 Diploma HSC (funded by our client).
A robust, positive and creative approach in meeting the needs of children and young adults.
Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
High level of resilience and patience
The ability to follow personal care routines
The ability to work within a rota pattern that typically requires working every other weekend. xwzovoh
