This improvement journey is aimed at enhancing service delivery, modernising ways of working, increasing efficiencies plus fostering stronger community engagement.
This role has strategic and operational responsibility for the Councils planning functions.
This will include providing professional leadership on all aspects of development management, planning enforcement, local development plan process and related statutory processes, ensuring compliance with the legislative and policy framework for planning in Northern Ireland.
The assigned portfolio of functions may vary from time to time and currently these include: Building Control and Licensing Planning Shared Environmental Services Licensing Sustainability and environmental Water quality To apply candidates must have a degree or postgraduate qualification and relevant corporate membership/qualification of a professional planning body such as RTPI or IPI
