About the Role
In this environment, the role of the KYC Administrator is essential to safeguard IT&S’s ability to operate responsibly and legally. This role is vital in ensuring every counterparty we engage undergoes comprehensive due diligence and meets INEOS's compliance requirements prior to engagement. By maintaining accurate systems of record, ensuring adherence to INEOS’ policies and overseeing robust due diligence processes, the KYC Administrator plays a crucial part in protecting the business from regulatory breaches, reputational damage and operational disruption.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough compliance checks, including sanctions checks, on all proposed counterparties, ensuring adherence to INEOS’ policies, regulatory requirements and internal risk standards.
- Liaise with proposed counterparties to ensure that IT&S has all required information for the KYC process.
- Provide information about IT&S to external counterparties as part of their due diligence on IT&S.
- Coordinate with front, middle and back-office teams to facilitate efficient information flows and resolve onboarding queries.
- Maintain the internal onboarding tracker, providing clear visibility of counterparty status.
- Work with the Legal & Compliance team to review compliance risks, resolve complex onboarding issues and interpret policy and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the business’ compliance principles, maintaining an uncompromising commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Support the IT&S business with general administrative duties and the delivery of ad hoc projects and business initiatives.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent diploma
Required Skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and compliance issues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage tight deadlines and maintain confidence under pressure.
- Strong commitment to compliance and regulatory principles.
- Initiative, resourcefulness and a strong ability to resolve challenges proactively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
