The Role
We are seeking a Head of Merchandising, Women’s Apparel UK/EU. In this role you will curate and manage the product catalog to exceed UK/EU customer expectations, aligning with Quince’s brand and pricing strategy. You will influence sourcing, set pricing, and be accountable for sales, margins, and returns.
Success means driving revenue growth, optimizing margins, and ensuring a product assortment that resonates with the UK and EU markets.
Responsibilities
- Drive a high‑growth merchandising trajectory to meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Ensure the UK and EU product catalog meets and exceeds customer expectations.
- Influence and participate in sourcing strategy to ensure the assortment is locally relevant and margin‑optimised.
- Set pricing aligned with Quince’s Customer Value Proposition and margin goals.
- Monitor and analyse sales, margin, and returns data to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with sourcing, marketing, and supply‑chain teams to deliver on business goals.
- Stay current with UK and EU market trends and evolving consumer preferences within the women’s apparel market.
- Manage product presentation and assortment planning to align with brand and market strategy.
Qualifications
- +12 years of proven experience in merchandising, preferably in e‑commerce.
- Strong understanding of the UK retail market and consumer behaviour.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret sales, margin, and financial data.
- Experience leveraging data to anticipate customer needs and optimise assortment.
- Demonstrated success in pricing strategy, margin management, and assortment optimisation.
- Strong problem‑solving and structured thinking skills.
- Effective collaborator with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Independent, self‑directed learner and executor with high ownership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in women's apparel merchandising and use of technology to scale merchandising strategies.
- Background in direct‑to‑consumer (DTC), retail, or e‑commerce business models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
