Cover Supervisor - Transition from Child Residential Care Location: Blackpool, Lancashire Salary: £102.83 per day (PAYE) Pay Scale: Strictly inline with NJC Scale Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent Trade the Shift Work for the Classroom Are you currently working in Child Residential Care in Blackpool but looking for a better work-life balance? Your skills in de-escalation, rapport building, and behaviour management are exactly what local schools need. We are looking for resilient, patient, and authoritative individuals to transition into Cover Supervisor roles. You will take the lead in the classroom, ensuring students remain engaged and on-task while their regular teacher is away. Master of De-escalation: You know how to spot a "trigger" before a situation escalates. Relationship Driven: You understand that students learn best from people they respect. Resilient Mindset: You are expert at managing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Firm but Fair: You can maintain high expectations while supporting vulnerable learners. The Role Classroom Management: Lead classes across various subjects using pre-set lesson plans (no planning or marking required!). Behaviour Support: Implement the school's behaviour policy with confidence and consistency. Student Engagement: Help students overcome barriers to learning during their lessons.
