We are recruiting an experienced Social Worker – Child in Need to join the London Borough of Haringey on a full-time locum contract. Position Details * Role: Social Worker – Child in Need * Location: London * Council: London Borough of Haringey * Contract: Full-Time Locum * Start Date: ASAP * Pay Rate: £37.52 per hour * Hours: 37 hours per week * Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities * Manage a caseload of children and families within the Disabled Children's Team. * Complete Child and Family Assessments and specialist disability assessments within statutory timescales. * Assess, implement, and review short breaks packages based on assessed need. * Work jointly with Health colleagues on Continuing Care assessments and joint-funded care packages. * Undertake direct work with children and young people, ensuring their views and wishes remain central to all planning. * Complete statutory visits, reviews, and outcome-focused care planning. * Prepare reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, reviews, and multi-agency meetings. * Work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes. * Contribute to the team's duty service by responding to referrals and safeguarding concerns. * Maintain accurate case records using Mosaic and support service improvement initiatives.
