Planner

Overview

Kenton Black is recruiting for a Planner on a permanent basis in the Glasgow area. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the Central Belt of Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and delivery of predominantly education-sector developments, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme expectations.

Responsible Duties

• Prepare, develop and maintain detailed construction programmes.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays.
• Support project teams with programme reporting and recovery planning.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a planning role within the building construction sector.
• Strong understanding of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
• Experience with Tier 1 main contract work is highly desirable.
• Candidates from civil engineering or infrastructure backgrounds alone will not be considered.
