Process Engineer

Job OverviewThe Process Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of process engineering and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward process engineering problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Process Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents. Essential Qualifications and Education3-8 years of experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail designBachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in EngineeringFamiliar with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicableKnowledge of many basic design techniques and analysis methodsPreferably Registered Engineer in Training (ElT) or member of professional engineering society as applicable #LI-SJ1#LI-HybridKey Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPerform FEED Studies and detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on more complex and demanding engineering tasksApply knowledge and skills to complete varied assignmentsPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and proceduresPrioritize and organize own work to meet deadlinesFocus on completing work within budgetsClearly communicate and explain information in straightforward engineering activitiesGain familiarity with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicableRecognize changes to scope and notify the discipline Lead EngineerInterface with all disciplines to develop clash-free designsInterface with other departments to obtain input for Discipline designs and drawingsDocument substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions) and forward copies to Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline ManagerProvide required bid inputs as directedReview MTOs for requisitionsReview vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessaryCheck engineering performed by others within the disciplineDevelop an awareness of costs related to own work and of the disciplineResponsible for preparing/checking the following key deliverables, applicable as per the Project scope:Process simulations / Heat and material balancesProcess flow diagrams (PFD)Piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID)Equipment and instrument process datasheetsProcess specificationsOperating philosophy and startup and operating manualsEquipment list (process data)Line list (process data)Equipment and line sizing calculationsFlare radiation and dispersion calculationsDepressurization and flare network studiesProcess studies      Reports to:      Project: Lead Engineer      Functional: Supervising Department Manager      Project: Lead Engineer      Functional: Supervising Department ManagerFull timePosting Date: 2026-07-06
