ANTRIM POSITION: HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC PERMANENT FULL TIME £42,100 per year + optional overtime Job Ref: DM/0426 Due to continued growth, Irish Salt Mining requires a full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanic at the Kilroot Salt Mine in Carrickfergus. Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman you will be part of an experienced maintenance team in the underground workshop. Roles & Responsibilities Service, troubleshoot, mechanical repairs and basic diagnostics on a range of heavy plant & machinery Work with colleagues and other departments effectively Record work accurately Knowledge of Health and Safety, and ability to comply with safety regulations, instructions and safe systems of work Essential Criteria: Mechanical experience on plant and machinery Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems Desirable Criteria: NVQ Level 3 Diesel Mechanic or equivalent. Knowledge of hydraulic systems Hours of Work: 41 hours per week Monday to Friday Dayshift starting 0600hrs.
