About the role

Overall Target of the Position

• Lead EHS integration during the Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase for NSE opportunities, ensuring

that EHS risks, customer EHS requirements, contractor EHS interfaces, security, medical,

sustainability, staffing, cost provisions, and country or site-specific controls are assessed

before bid submission, contract signature, and handover to OTR.

• Ensure EHS requirements are identified early, appropriately documented, commercially

considered, and effectively transferred into execution planning.

• Support alignment with company standards, customer obligations, and applicable

local regulations before project mobilization.

Tasks & Responsibilities

EHS Role

• Implement the applicable GSI / GE Vernova EHS ITO governance framework across NSE

opportunities and support Sales, Commercial Operations, Bid Management, and Tendering

teams through defined deal review stages.

• Review customer EHS requirements, specifications, bid conditions, contractual obligations,

and EHS-related commercial deviations.

• Validate EHS risks during ITO using required company workflows and risk tools, including site

and country risk conditions, high-risk activities, environmental aspects, hazardous materials

exposure, emergency arrangements, and contractor risks.

• Define required EHS staffing assumptions, competence needs, audits, supervision

requirements, equipment, training, mitigation actions, and cost provisions for inclusion in the

offer.

• Support contractor, partner, and supply chain EHS qualification and readiness reviews during

the ITO phase.

• Coordinate EHS input from Legal, Medical, Security, Sustainability, Regional EHS, OTR EHS,

Sourcing, and operational teams according to the opportunity risk profile.

• Participate in ITO-to-OTR handover and transfer EHS requirements, assumptions, open risks,

accepted deviations, resource needs, cost provisions, and mitigation commitments into

execution planning.

• Maintain traceable records of EHS validations, approvals, site assessments, assumptions, and

review outcomes in required folders, systems, and workflows.

Key Performance Indicators

• EHS review completed before bid submission or order acceptance, as required by the

applicable risk profile.

• EHS risks documented in designated company tools, workflows, risk registers, RAM, RoR, EHS

Workflow, or equivalent required tools.

EHS cost assumptions, resources, mitigations, and protections incorporated into offers where

required.

• High-risk opportunities escalated for appropriate review and approval before progression.

• OTR teams receive complete, traceable EHS handover information with minimal rework.

• Customer and contract EHS requirements are identified early and addressed before execution.

• Contractor and Partner EHS Qualification completed according to internal in CQM and

regulatory EHS requirements, before purchase order issuing.


Profile

Skills knowledge and experience required

• Strong knowledge of EHS risk assessment, contractor management, project tendering, and

regulatory compliance.

• Ability to assess EHS impacts of commercial, technical, site, operational, and contractual

requirements.

• Experience with high-risk activities, environmental liabilities, hazardous materials, emergency

preparedness, and site resource planning.

• Ability to influence commercial teams and challenge opportunities where EHS risk is

unacceptable or insufficiently controlled.

• Strong cross-functional coordination skills across EHS, Legal, Medical, Security, Sustainability,

Commercial Operations, Sourcing, and OTR.

• EHS and/or technical background, preferably supporting construction, field services, outage,

industrial, or energy project environments.

• Familiarity with customer site work controls, contractor oversight, pre-mobilization planning,

and execution risk transfer.

• Experience with EHS management systems and standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

• Strong documentation, review, audit-traceability, and clear communication discipline.

• Knowledge of applicable local regulations.

Authority

• Authority to review and formally comment on EHS suitability of opportunities during ITO.

• Authority to require escalation where EHS risks, controls, assumptions, or contractual

protections are not adequate.

• Authority to recommend conditional approval, rejection, or additional mitigation before
