Senior / Project Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor | Residential New Build | Welwyn Garden City | Freelance | ASAP Start I'm working directly with a residential contractor who are looking to appoint a freelance Quantity Surveyor for a major residential development in Welwyn Garden City. This is an immediate requirement on a live £24m scheme. They already have a Commercial Manager in place and are looking for someone capable of coming in, getting up to speed quickly and taking ownership of the day-to-day commercial duties. The Role • Working on a £24m residential development comprising approximately 100 units across two residential blocks • Reporting into the Commercial Manager • Managing valuations, variations, subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting • Identifying and maximising commercial opportunities across the project • Supporting cost control and financial performance through to project completion • Site-based role with close involvement in project delivery • Immediate start available What they're looking for • Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level • Residential new build experience preferred • Main contractor background • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail • Able to manage workload independently and keep on top of project responsibilities • Proactive, organised and delivery-focused The Project • £24m contract value • Approximately 100 residential units • Two residential blocks • Welwyn Garden City • Programme running through to February 2027 The Business • Established residential contractor • Strong secured workload • Existing Commercial Manager already in place on the project • Immediate requirement Interested?
