About the role

Warehouse Operations Manager Birmingham Up to £45,000 PA 45hrs/week, Monday–Friday (flexibility required) The Role We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day management of a busy multi-customer 3PL warehouse operation. You'll oversee Goods In, Storage, Cross Dock, Replenishment, Picking, Packing and Dispatch — driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy and outstanding customer service. Reporting to the Head of Customer Partnerships, you'll lead a team of Shift Managers and warehouse colleagues, working closely with Customer Success, Transport, Shipping, Compliance and Finance to deliver a high-performing, compliant and cost-effective operation. Key Responsibilities * Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, on-time order fulfilment * Oversee inbound, put-away, replenishment, inventory control, pick, pack and dispatch * Manage, motivate and develop Shift Managers and warehouse colleagues * Maintain inventory integrity and WMS accuracy; lead cycle counting and stock audits * Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and BRCGS requirements * Build strong customer relationships and support new client onboarding * Manage labour, overtime and agency costs within budget * Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs and performance metrics What We're Looking For Essential: * Proven experience managing warehouse operations within a multi-customer 3PL environment * Strong understanding of Goods In, Inventory Control, Replenishment, Picking & Packing, and Dispatch * Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Experience leading and developing operational teams * Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation Desirable: * Knowledge of BRCGS standards and audit requirements * Management qualification (ILM, CILT, NVQ, CMI or equivalent) * Experience with new customer onboarding projects * Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma knowledge Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and people management skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management; high attention to detail; analytical and data-driven; calm under pressure; commercially aware and customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
