Position: Permanent, Static Site
The Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical Day Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial building in Canary Wharf.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a Monday-to-Friday position within a high-profile, technically demanding environment.
The successful candidate will ideally be a current HV Authorised Person (HVAP) or have previously held HVAP status and be comfortable working around HV/LV electrical systems.
You'll work as part of an established engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring the building's electrical infrastructure remains safe, compliant and operational.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Maintain electrical systems including power, lighting and distribution
Work safely around HV and LV electrical systems
Carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Respond to breakdowns and resolve technical issues efficiently
Carry out routine inspections of electrical plant and equipment
Support switching and HV activities in line with site procedures and authorisation
Liaise with specialist subcontractors and oversee works where required
Complete maintenance records and update the CAFM system
Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety and site procedures
Maintain plant rooms and engineering areas to a high standard
Provide a professional service when dealing with clients and building occupiers
About You Fully electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
18th Edition
Current HVAP or previously held HVAP status
Strong commercial building maintenance experience
Good knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems
Strong electrical fault-finding ability
Experience working xwzovoh within large commercial or critical environments would be advantageous
Professional and confident in a client-facing environment
Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of an engineering team
