About the role

We are looking for an experience Maintenance Manager that has an excellent knowledge of Environmental Hazardous Waste. You will be based in Ilkeston but you will be required to travel to sites in Cardiff and Stoke on Trent, when needed. A Company van will be provided. Job Description You will be required; * To lead and manage all maintenance activities across Company sites, to ensure equipment, infrastructure, and systems operate efficiently and safely. * To act as the key interface between the operations function and the projects function, when it comes to installing, decommissioning or upgrading plant and equipment * Be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing preventive and proactive maintenance, managing the maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with all safety, legal, and company standards.Ensuring that the installed reactive maintenance processes are fit for purpose and are complied with by. * Work as part of the Operations Department, being supportive and covering duties as necessary during colleagues’ absences and at times of additional pressure, as required. Qualifications Required - Essential - * Safety Qualification (for example): IOSH Managing Safely / SMSTS / NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Construction Certificate. Desirable - * Bachelors Degree in relevant engineering discipline (process, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering). * Lean, Six Sigma qualification (i.e. Black Belt) Experience - You must have: * 5+ years experience in maintenance management, including line management. * Strong technical background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. * Project management and/or shutdown management experience. * Clean FULL Drivers Licence Knowledge/Skills * Knowledge of heavy machinery, including:Conveyors, shredders and mixers,tanks, stirrers, pumps and pipework and mobile plant * Ability to delegate tasks appropriately, monitor progress & performance and providing constructive feedback. * Clear and consistent communication skills, ensuring expectations and instructions are understood. * Ability to efficiently utilise a CMMS to Track Work orders, asset history, and maintenance records. * Computer literacy: Microsoft Office and MS Teams and Elecosoft ShireCMMS Shifts/Working Pattern The standard working week is Monday to Friday 40hr per week (8-4 or 9-5) but you will be required to be flexible if the job demands it.
