About the role
We are seeking a *highly competent and self-motivated HGV Mechanic* to join our operation on a part-time basis. Working with a *mixed fleet of HGVs, 3.5t vans and cars*, you will take responsibility for ensuring our vehicles remain safe, reliable and compliant. The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. *Key Responsibilities:** Carry out *PMI inspections*, scheduled servicing and reactive repairs
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with accuracy and efficiency
* Perform *bodywork repairs*, fibreglass repairs and touch-up painting
* Complete *small vehicle checks and repairs* across the mixed fleet
* Undertake welding tasks and tyre re-cutting where required
* Present vehicles for *MOT*, ensuring all preparation is completed
* Work independently, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety *About You:** Fully competent mechanic with strong diagnostic ability
* Confident working alone and managing your own workload
* Experience across HGV, light commercial and car fleets
* Able to repair, replace and resolve issues in a timely, methodical manner
* Must hold a *Class 1 (C+E) licence*
* Reliable, proactive and committed to maintaining fleet quality
