Procurement Engineer

Procurement Engineer - 6 month contract - Samlesbury Aerodrome, Lancashire - £30.90 ph UMB or £23.05 ph PAYE (Inside IR35) The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles. The Role Develop and maintain supplier relationships, manage supplier performance and improvement activities. Manage the order book from order placement to delivery, including the identification and resolution of issues which may potentially affect the supply of parts Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers Regularly review stock levels against consumption to ensure that the range and scale available aligns with current requirements. Working closely with other functions across the business to manage the production order book. This role may require occasional travel to other UK Sites Role Responsibilities: Not limited to… Raising purchase orders Regular communication with suppliers Maintain order book information Ensure prompt payment of invoices Provide updates to internal customers What are BAE Systems looking for from you? Essential: Procurement Experience Good communication skills to provide effective stakeholder management Desirable: Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reporting toolsets Security Requirements: SC This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
