Sales Ledger Assistant

My client is a well known and established service business based in the Salford area. Due to continued success, they are looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant as an addition to their team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager this is a key role within the team.

Duties of the role will include:

* Set up of new business forms onto the bespoke system

* Amend or terminate forms as required

* Prepare Purchase orders for larger customers to agree which product needs to be invoiced and for what periods during the month

* Agree purchase orders for ad hoc charges

* Produce invoices

* Produce credit notes as agreed with customers

* Update systems with history details for consolidated invoices

* Run interfaces from admin systems to the accounts system as required to ensure all invoices and credits raised are updated into the accounting system

* Upload some invoices to customer portals as per individual customer requirements

The right candidate will have:

* 2 years experience in a sales ledger role including preparation of information pre invoice input.

* Experience of raising invoices and credit notes

* Experience of reviewing sales ledger transactions on an accounting system

* Experience of invoicing larger corporate customers and working within customer portals

* Good Excel skills

* Ability to communicate with customers regarding goods and services provided
