HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking Work – Birmingham People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking Work – Birmingham to join our well-established client based in Birmingham .

This role would suit candidates who have experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Class 1 Trunk Driver .

Shifts • Monday to Friday (weekend work available) • AM starts between 05:00 – 07:00 • PM starts between 17:00 – 21:00 Rates of Pay • £17.00 per hour (Monday to Saturday – days) • £18.00 per hour (Monday to Saturday – nights) • £18.00 per hour (Sunday – days and nights) Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Weekly pay • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Class 1 trunking work • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training Provided • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch. xwzovoh
