SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS)

Location: Tameside, ManchesterContract: Full-time, ongoingPay Rate: £16.90 per hourStart date: ASAP

We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Tameside area who are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, and communication challenges. You'll work closely with class teachers and other professionals to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
• Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Support pupils with sensory, physical, and communication needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.
• Personal care may be required.

About You

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
• EYFS experience is essential.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. xwzovoh
