SEN Teacher
Salary: £32,916 – £49,232 (M1–UPS2) per annum, depending on qualifications and experienceCategory: EducationPosition Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role
A new specialist SEMH school is due to open in late 2026 (TBC), providing a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment for children and young people aged 5–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school will support a small cohort of learners, creating a safe, enriching and aspirational setting where every pupil can thrive.
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled classroom teachers (primary and/or secondary) who are deeply passionate about working with children with additional needs. The Role
As a Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, set personalised targets, and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Monitoring pupil progress and reporting to parents, carers and senior leaders
- Leading a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues
- Managing and supervising support staff within the classroom
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies
Skills & Qualifications
Essential: xwzovoh
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within primary and/or secondary education
- Experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with SEMH needs
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
- Working understanding of ASC and SEMH needs, including complex presentations
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in SEND
- Experience contributing to curriculum development for learners with SEND
- A nurturing, empathetic approach and strong relationship-building skills
