As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. n You will play a key role in supporting the Project Engineering Manager in the delivery of budgeted tasks, bids, installations and support to first line delivery teams through the efficient employment and tasking of systems, hardware and software engineers. \n You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of software development, providing exposure to a range of internal stakeholders, through leading on the development of software training systems. \You will task and monitor the engineering team in accordance with BAE Systems’ processes to deliver the contracted deliverables against the agreed schedule as directed by the Project Engineering Manager \n You will prepare/review engineering estimates and schedules for review by the Project Engineering Manager and/or other parties \n You will forecast the required resource for each task and update the resource management toolset as directed by the Project Engineering Manager \n You will provide support to the Project Engineering Manager for the appropriate identification of engineering risks and subsequent analysis \n You will have sound knowledge and experience of software and/or systems engineering principles is essential \n You will have proven knowledge of engineering governance and lifecycle management processes within a project or complex environment \n You will have some knowledge of hardware and electrical engineering principles/issues \n You will some knowledge and understanding of the Naval training domain would be advantageous \n You will be able to motivate the engineering team (especially software engineers) to deliver to budget, to timescale and to the required level of quality and completeness \n \n The Simulation & Training Team: \from terrain and seabed, to weather and underwater acoustics, accurately modelling the movement and behaviour of ships, submarines and other platforms, and digitally replicating their unique capabilities (sonars, radars, weapons).
