About the Role Long Term Futures are working with a fantastic, nurturing primary school in Camden seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism (ASD) on a 1:1 basis. This is a highly rewarding long-term opportunity for someone passionate about early years development and making a genuine difference at a crucial stage of a child's learning journey.
This role offers the chance to work closely with a supportive SEN team, helping to develop communication, social interaction, and engagement through structured and play-based learning approaches. Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 support for a child with ASD in an EYFS setting
- Supporting communication and interaction through structured approaches (e.g. visual aids, routines)
- Encouraging engagement through play-based and sensory learning activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Monitoring progress and contributing to tailored support plans

About You
- Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD (desirable)
- Passion for working in Early Years and supporting development
- Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine desire to make a difference
