Painter Decorator – Gillingham (6-Month Temporary Contract) We are currently recruiting an experienced Painter Decorator to work on a 6-month temporary contract based in Gillingham. This role is PAYE and offered via Pertemps. As a Painter Decorator, you will be responsible for internal and external painting and decorating duties, ensuring a high standard of finish across all works. This Painter Decorator position is ideal for someone reliable, skilled, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Key Details

• • Location: Gillingham, Medway, Kent 

• • Contract Type: Temporary – c6 months

• • Pay Rate: £16.38 per hour (PAYE via Pertemps)

• • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

• • Overtime: Saturdays may be required

Painter Decorator Responsibilities

• • Carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard

• • Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming

• • Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes

• • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

• • Following health and safety guidelines at all times

Painter Decorator Requirements

• • Proven experience as a Painter Decorator

• • Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship

• • Good customer service skills as you will work inside customers accomodation

• • Ability to work to deadlines

• • Own tools preferred

• • Basic DBS check required (or willingness to undertake one)
