Production Coating Technician | Wallingford | £33,000pa - £38,000pa plus benefits:
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Production Coating Technician to join a leading manufacturer in Wallingford. This impressive family business has been operating for over 35 years and turnover £4 million on an annual basis. Having recently moved into a new larger facility and due to growth in their production team, they are looking for a Production Coating Technician.
The Production Coating Technician will be responsible for programming, operating, monitoring and maintaining selective coating equipment to apply high-quality protective coatings to printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, good technical understanding, and the ability to work accurately within a controlled production environment.
The ideal Production Coating Technician will have experience in some or all of the following:
Experience operating selective coating or conformal coating equipment.
Ability to programme, set up and run automated coating machines.
Experience with Nordson, ASYMTEK, PVA, Delta or similar selective coating systems would be highly desirable.
Understanding of conformal coating materials, including acrylic, silicone, polyurethane or UV-curable coatings.
Good understanding of coating viscosity, cure times, coating thickness, application methods and process control.
Experience operating inline ovens, conveyors or curing systems.
Ability to carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning and basic fault-finding.
Experience with masking, de-masking, hand spraying, touch-up and manual coating methods.
Ability to inspect coated assemblies under UV light or other inspection methods.
Good understanding of quality standards within electronics manufacturing.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, customer specifications and process documents.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems to update jobs, stock, production data or traceability records.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with small electronic assemblies.
Good communication skills and confidence raising issues with management or quality teams.
Ability to work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards. Our client works Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, with a range of good benefits in place. They really do look after their staff which results in a low turnover and loyal staff retention.
