The Role As a dedicated Support Worker, you will deliver bespoke, individualised care to a young person in the local community: Establish deep trust and meaningful connection by using trauma-informed communication strategies. Implement proactive de-escalation techniques to support individuals when they are deregulated. Foster personal growth, resilience, and independence through tailored daily activities and community involvement. Maintain clear professional boundaries while serving as a consistent, stabilizing presence. Collaborate closely with families, care managers, and multidisciplinary partners to build a safe circle of support. Keep precise, detailed daily logs and incident reports to maintain high standards of safeguarding. What You Bring Proven Experience: At least 2 years of direct experience supporting young people in crisis or managing complex, deregulated behaviours. De-escalation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure, make safe decisions, and protect boundaries. Core Safeguarding Knowledge: Full understanding of boundary management, trauma impact, and proactive care strategies. Clear Compliance: Active registration under the PVG scheme (or willingness to apply). Licence & Transport: A full UK driving licence with business insurance is strongly preferred.
