Senior Civil (Underground) Engineer

Job Overview:The role is for a Senior Civil Engineer with a market leading provider of Oil & Gas, LNG and Renewable facilities.Deliverables to include undergrounds drainage design and drawings, utilities, paving, roads, specifications, design philosophies etc. Work includes discipline support, concept studies, layouts, design calculations, specifications and review of vendor/subcontractor documents.The successful candidate should effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers in a team environment. Along with a dynamic and effective service, we strive for positive outcomes for everyone, every time.Essential Qualifications and Education:Degree in civil engineeringMinimum of 15 years of professional experience with at least 8 years in Oil and Gas Industry as UG engineer.Is familiar with codes and standards of ACI, ASCE, BS, and EN.Is familiar with current engineering methods and possesses a broad technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process.Is capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools. (Micro-drainage or similar)Overall experience should address:All phases of the project lifecycle, from determination of FEED Concepts through to detailed engineering.Design experience in underground, drainage, earthworks, paving and grading, roads, pavement design.#LI-Hybrid#LI-SJ1Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Take responsibility of the portion of the Undergrounds scope on the basis of the Lead Engineer guidanceEnsure that success criteria is targeted, and project objectives met in a timely manner.Liaise with other Senior UG Engineers and Designers both in Lead office and High Value CentresLiaise with other disciplines as requiredDefine and ensure technical adequacy of design, and is able to deliver design within budget and programmeConversant with drainage network calculations using Micro-drainage or equivalent.Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) aspects of the work, both in terms of Oil and Gas practice are metIs a confident communicator ensuring inter discipline communication and is able to articulate solutions in project meetings.Continuously overview work to ensure that designs provide an innovative and safe solution in constructionFull timePosting Date: 2026-02-09
