Year 2 Class Teacher – Primary School (KS1)
Location: Redbridge, London (Woodford)
Salary: £37,870 – £56,154 per annum (M1 – U3)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent | Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
A welcoming and well-resourced two-form entry primary school in Redbridge is seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Role
• Full-time Year 2 class teacher within Key Stage 1
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils academic progress and personal development
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary setting (KS1 desirable)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply
