Red Rock Consultants are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing and engineering business, who are looking to expand their team and recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. This is a varied position covering sales and purchase ledger, with exposure to banking, VAT, and wider finance responsibilities.
Youll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting credit control, assisting with payments, and working closely with multiple departments across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside the Group Management Accountant to support finance operations
Ensure sales and purchase ledgers are accurate and up to date
Prepare cash book entries, including credit card expenditure
Process multi-currency transactions (USD and EUR)
Assist with third-party and intercompany payment runs
Support VAT accounting and reporting
Carry out credit control duties and liaise with customers
Assist with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
Support Sales, Production, and Management teams with order fulfilment processes
Handle and direct incoming telephone enquiries
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
The right candidate will be AAT qualified and will have a strong all-round accounts background.
Experience with Sage 200 is desirable, however training will be given.
